Holy God, our lives are laid open before you: Rescue us from the chaos of sin and through the death of your son bring us healing and make us whole, in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
17 days left of Lent. It’s never too late to prepare for Easter, reflect on Jesus’ life and ready yourself for the events of Holy Week. As we gather and remember the events of Jesus’ death and resurrection; with the stations of the cross, a walk of witness remembering that Jesus died for us. And we reflect on our own baptism at Eastertide and renew the promises made.
Although a time of solemn quiet and reflection on Jesus’ death. It’s also a joyous time of celebration of the resurrection that’s only possible because Christ endured death and conquered it. His triumph over death and the love and affection He showed through His ministry we carry into Easter and beyond.
God of glory, by the raising of your Son you have broken the chains of death and hell: Fill your Church with faith and hope; for a new day has dawned and the way to life stands open in our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.
